iOS 18 will be available in the fall as a free software update. Apple's latest iPhone software update, iOS 18, can be downloaded on several devices. Apple's new iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 updates are mostly good news for users of older Apple devices—with the exception of 2018's 6th-generation.
